Naked???
Today I stop at
a small and cozy hotel (Posada Mexico), at the only legally naked beach in
whole Mexico, at Zipolite, Oaxaca.
Of course, you
could go naked in many of the Mexican beaches when nobody is close by; but here,
you could do it from early in the morning to late at night, and you could walk
the almost two-mile-long beach from side to side and nobody will care if you
are too old, too skinny, too young or too fat; if you have fifteen piercings in
your nose, mouth and ears or if your body is a complete tattoo world map.
So, prepare to
expose yourself if you want to try, and if you are too shy you could do it very
early in the morning or in a very hidden corner of the Playa del Amor.
Jumping naked in
the waves or diving into them is an experience I recommend to do it at least
once in your lifetime. So, if you are not Brad Pitt, Julia Roberts, Charlize
Theron, Johnny Depp, or Cesar Millan, the famous Dog Whisperer, who are being
followed by paparazzies all the time; and if you don’t have something really
spectacular you could be afraid or proud to show, then come to Zipolite and let
the oceans waves to stroke your complete body and the Sun to tarnish completely
your skin.
To me, seeing
the very nudity of our bodies does not mean more than comparing how much hair we
have or we don’t have in our chests, or if we have nice biceps or strong legs,
or if our derriere is something worth or not to look at; since at the end we
all will go “Naked” to the next world, without all our worries, without all our
shames, without all our prejudices. The same prejudices that stop us from
getting drunk from time to time, from shouting aloud “I am happy”, or for
crying without being able to stop for the loss of a beloved one.
So, get engaged
at Zipolite, and after a year or two, you will want to come back, to let laying
in the sand your swing suit and go naked into the waves, leaving behind all
your worries and all your fears.
